occupational health and safety policy

This policy will apply to Coastal Reforestation; all it’s staff, employees, worksites and visitors to the worksites.

Policy

Coastal Reforestation is committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for all employees.

It is the responsibility of management, especially those filling supervisory roles, as well as employees to ensure that:

  • Health and safety are key considerations in all work activities;
  • There is adherence to pertinent health and safety legislation;
  • Health and safety rules, regulations, practices and internal procedures are followed;
  • All hazards are reported immediately to an appropriate staff member who can take corrective action

All divisions must ensure that safe procedures and practices are established and followed for their specific areas.

Supervisors must ensure that employees under their jurisdiction are aware of, and comply with all requirements and procedures regarding this policy.

Coastal Reforestation management and employees will cooperate with the Joint Health and Safety Committee to create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Coastal Reforestation commits itself to fully cooperating with the JOHS in the implementation and enforcement of this policy.  Further, resources necessary for the JOHS committee to fulfill its mission of ensuring a safe and healthy work environment must be provided by Coastal Reforestation.

All Coastal Reforestation owners, officers, supervisors, and employees are responsible for exercising due diligence to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

All Staff and employees must have the necessary skills to safely perform the tasks and duties required of them.
